As program manager for UCSF’s Department of Clinical Pharmacy Research Support Program, I lead comprehensive research initiatives across clinical and social sciences, specializing in genomic medicine and molecular diagnostics. I manage multiple research programs for seven principal investigators, overseeing the complete project lifecycle from grant submissions and budget management to coordinating with internal and external collaborators and preparing reports for funding agencies.
My expertise spans evidence-based evaluation of molecular testing, personalized medicine, and research program management, built on over 20 years of experience in academic, government, and industry settings. I provide scientific and technical guidance in molecular biology, genetic testing, and whole exome/genome sequencing for chronic diseases and cancer, while mentoring PharmD, PhD, and MD students and postdocs.
Contributing significantly to the field’s literature, I have co-authored 33 publications in genomic medicine and molecular diagnostics, with over 60 total publications across various disciplines. I also support department-wide diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism efforts through the Amplifying Voices Speaker Series.
