ABOUT US

Training the next generation of scientists to explore new drugs in novel ways.

The goal of the PSPG graduate program is to educate students to propose and to address the major questions in the pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacogenomics, teach students the basic sciences needed to answer these questions, and create an environment where students can develop into independent, ethical, and creative scientific problem solvers. This new multidisciplinary graduate program has a dual focus:

  • Pharmaceutical Sciences, including molecular pharmacology, drug discovery, drug delivery, and drug development. Included in this focus are computational approaches to drug development and dynamic modeling.

  • Pharmacogenomics, including the development of scientific approaches to determine the role of genetics and genomics in drug action, toxicity and disposition. Included in this area are computational approaches to genomics and genetic systems behavior.
