The scientist-teachers who drive forward the Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences are experts in fields from micro-electromechanical systems to drug metabolism and transport, from computational biology to personalized medicines. We believe this range of science is essential to finding the underlying mechanisms of disease and sophisticated new ways to diagnose and treat disease with intelligent therapeutics. We also believe that research collaborations with scientists across academia, in government, and in industry are essential to our success on behalf of the public we serve.
