On May 3, in front of a crowd of more than one thousand gathered at Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, the 122 members of the UCSF School of Pharmacy graduating class of 2019 received their doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degrees.

The 2019 Mary Anne Koda-Kimble Seed Award for Innovation will fund nine bold research projects, ranging from studies of the molecular underpinnings of cancer to focus groups designed to prepare PharmD students for experiential learning.

In BPS 115, (Genetics and Pharmacogenetics), first year PharmD students study themselves at a genetic level using pharmacogenetic testing, and volunteer to share their data with each other. Data is aggregated for selected drug metabolizing genes-of-interest.

The 122 members of the graduating class of 2018 received their PharmD degrees at commencement.

Ten finalists battled for the Grad Slam Championship on 3/22/18. The competition was stiff, the crowd was raucous; but in the end, two BioEs swept the awards.
